ANUGA 2019
09.10.2019
ANUGA is one of the largest trade exhibitions in the world, with a special focus on food and beverages. The fair has a history of over a hundred years and is the oldest in the industry, remaining the main meeting point for representatives of the food and beverage industry.
The history of the oldest ANUGA trade fair
The world’s largest and most important trade fair for the commercial sector, ANUGA, was inaugurated for the first time in 1924 in Cologne. Since that time, the ANUGA exhibition is held every two years. The main motto of the fair, which has been representing it for one hundred years, is “Product quality and safety”. This is where buyers and sellers meet every 2 years to conclude new contracts and renew the existing ones.
The current state of the ANUGA exhibition
Currently, ANUGA is the main place of exhibition and presentation of ten different exhibitions under the same roof for both exhibitors and professional visitors. These ten exhibitions cover the main sectors of the food industry. Among these separate exhibitions we can distinguish:
- ANUGA Frozen Food, which offers frozen foods and ice creams;
- ANUGA Meat, with the presentation of meat, sausages, poultry, etc.;
- ANUGA Chilled & Fresh Food, dedicated to fresh and refrigerated products: vegetables, fruit, fish and seven other exhibitions dedicated to other sectors of the food industry.
The 2017 indicators prove once again that the ANUGA fair is rightfully considered a number one event in the world of food products. The fair welcomed more than 7000 exhibitors and over 165,000 visitors. Among the participants in the exhibition is to be noted the EUPoultry company. It has been participating in the exhibition in both 2019 and 2017.
In 2019, ANUGA once again proposed everything that is important to the international trade public. Ten exhibitions, an information program of events and the increased participation of exhibitors: all this is ANUGA 2019.
Innovations and trends are the driving force behind the food and beverage industry. Year after year, this sector is developing further with innovations and developments that are attracting more and more consumers to the world of food. ANUGA identifies and highlights current global trends: ten exhibitions underline what is currently required and in which direction the global food industry is developing.
